Shape the future with
circular products
The products we make and use every day are harming our environment. The extraction and consumption of natural resources is significantly contributing to increasing greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, waste and habitat destruction.
But there is a better way – moving from the broken system of take, make, dispose to a new model of design, make, and reuse. This circular approach to product creation and consumption will radically reduce waste and emissions.
Circular Living Standards offer a solution. The standards set a high bar for circular products through an independent, science-based, data-driven certification process that uniquely recognises both circular product attributes and customer behaviour. They can support validation for your product sustainability claims and help you meet growing demand for circular products.
Development of the Circular Living Standards
Developed with experts in circular economy, product design, and sustainability, the standards follow international best practices and industry feedback. Each standard is shaped by a Standard Development Committee comprised of brands, retailers, NGOs, and industry experts through a multi-stakeholder process to ensure robust and impactful outcomes.
The first group of standards currently in development cover a wide variety of environmental product attributes: Preloved, Reusable, Refillable and Durable.
A range of additional standards covering other product attributes will be developed and launched in the future.
Circular Living Standards Partners
WRAP is the operator of the standards and certification scheme, and we develop and monitor its operation. Third-party Certification Bodies, approved by WRAP, will certify products to the standards.

Reusable Certified
Reusable Certified verifies products that may yield environmental benefits through being reused a specified number of times.
