Meeting nutritional and environmental goals without sacrificing convenience.
People mostly consider price, taste and convenience when making food choices. These might be barriers for choosing a healthy and sustainable diet. WRAP wanted to know what a diet that was high in convenience foods, but still healthy and sustainable, would look like; what kind of convenience food would it include?
The results showed that it is possible to eat healthily and sustainably, as well as eat convenience food in moderation, especially if we choose convenience foods carefully. If food manufacturers continue to increase the choice of healthy and sustainable convenience meals, this should become easier in the future.
