Prices for recovered textiles fall into three categories. These are briefly described as follows:
- Banks – the value that textile bank operators will pay to the bank beneficiaries such as the named charity or local charity when the banks are owned, sited, serviced etc by the operator.
- Charity shop - the value that a charity receives for charity shop clothing sold to merchants that collect the garments from the shop.

Recovered textile prices
The price of textile recovered from banks fluctuated towards the end of the year. Prices in December 2018 stood at £255 per tonne. Charity shop textile prices have declined since April 18, however they saw a slight improvement in November and December 2018, reaching £253 per tonne. This is around £200 per tonne less than prices seen at the start of the year.
