The Pre-Summit United Nations Food Systems Summit affiliated session hosted by WRAP and P4G.
28 July 2021
Creating a Net Zero global food system isn’t just the responsibility of governments, and it won’t be achieved by legislation alone. Hosted by WRAP and P4G (Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030) and included speakers from the Inter-American Development Bank and major retailers and brand-owners from around the world to discover the role which businesses can play and the benefits of the public-private partnership model.
Joining P4G’s Ian de Cruz and WRAP’s Richard Swannell were executives from food and personal care multinational Unilever, a leading southern Africa retailer Pick ‘n’ Pay, and the Inter-American Development Bank.
Businesses heard how they can work effectively with governments, investors and consumers and throughout the supply chain to drive impact at speed and scale and turn sustainability issues such as food loss and waste reduction into a business and investment opportunity.
This webinar recording will be of interest to delegates from governments, civil society, trusts and foundations and corporates, as well as anyone with an interest in developing, funding or becoming part of a public-private partnership, or taking large-scale action to tackle food loss and waste and the environmental impact of food systems.
We will be uploading additional Q&As from the webinar shortly.
More details are also on the Pre-Summit United Nations Food Systems Summit platform.
