WRAP is proud to continue partnering with The Earthshot Prize in the nomination process and delivery of the 2025 Awards.
The Earthshot Prize is the most ambitious and prestigious of its kind – designed to incentivise change and help to repair our planet between 2021 and 2030. Submission to The Prize is made through a nominating partner of which WRAP is one. If you would like to submit a proposal to us for consideration, please see the 'Making a submission' information below.
The partnership
WRAP is one of a small number of Global Alliance Partners to support The Prize. This reflects WRAP’s position as a global leader in research and project delivery in the fields of resource management and sustainability. We work with The Earthshot Prize across each of The Earthshots but are the global lead partner on Build a Waste-free World – the resource use category.
During this time, WRAP is working with The Earthshot Prize to gather together the most impactful, ambitious and aspirational solutions that lead to the building of a waste free world. We will bring our networks and knowledge base both across the UK and further afield to bear and continue to inform the strategic development of The Prize itself.
We are keen to work with funders, commissioning bodies, the private sector and governments to develop as strong a portfolio of proposals as we can. Please get in touch if you would like to help us on this journey.
Making a submission
Each year, between 2021 and 2030, five £1million prizes will be awarded, providing at least 50 solutions to the world’s greatest environmental problems.
Applications for Year 4 are now underway, and you can submit your solution for further consideration using this short form.
Entries close in December 2024, once the date has been confirmed by The Earthshot Prize.
Once we have reviewed this, you will then receive a personal link from The Earthshot Prize to provide more detail on your solution. An assessor at WRAP will then assess your full proposal and we will let you know the outcome within two weeks.
Nominations are open to all type of organisation, partnership or individual, across all sectors and globally – and we welcome as wide and imaginative a range as possible. While we are eager to encourage ‘innovative’ solutions, we would not recommend applications that present pilots or proofs of concept and would recommend the provision of some form of evidence to underpin the proposal.
We look forward to receiving your proposal – and many thanks for taking the time to consider making one.
If you have any questions about the nomination process please contact us and we will aim to respond in 2 working days.
