Opportunities for food waste reduction in carrot production
In this case study, we follow the journey of Huntapac Produce Ltd as it assesses opportunities for food waste reduction in carrot production across a number of its fields and packing facility after harvesting.
“While baseline food waste levels in field were low, there are still areas identified by the project that we’ll be investigating further for opportunities. These include understanding what is leading to spillages and damages and in particular how to ensure we always harvest the full crop.”
