As part of WRAP’s work upscaling farm food waste measurement in the UK, we delivered nine projects with supply chain businesses and developed corresponding case studies for each to address on-farm food surplus and waste.

In this case study, we follow the journey of Total Worldfresh and its growers as they assess opportunities for food waste reduction in apple production.

“The project confirmed the importance of measuring in field food waste. We’ll be using the insights to provide customers with project outputs, demonstrating the impact of decisions across the chain, while working with the growers to share between them their learnings and best practices in tackling food waste, and looking at next steps around orchard comparability and productivity, improved data collection and measurements.”
