- The markets for recovered paper and plastic have been buoyant during the second quarter of 2018. Prices for many of the grades affected by Chinese import restrictions have increased sharply as alternative export destinations have been found
- Concern is growing that these economies may also introduce import restrictions. In late June the government of Thailand announced that it would ban all recovered plastics from entering its ports
