Adam Herriott brings over a decade of rich experience within both public and private sectors, having served in various capacities within Local Authority waste management and as a Recycling Manager for a leading UK waste management company. In 2019, he joined WRAP, where he has since assumed the role of Senior Specialist for Plastics, helping lead the technical team within the UK Plastics Pact.
Adam has supported WRAP's international team disseminate knowledge to their partners throughout the global network of Plastics Pacts, fostering international collaboration towards more sustainable plastic management practices. In 2023, his dedication to the field was nationally recognised when he was named one of the industry's top 100 'Architects of Change' by Resource Magazine, whilst also achieving the status of Chartered Resource and Waste Manager with CIWM.
 
Furthermore, Adam's expertise has made him a sought-after voice on numerous industry panels and conferences throughout the UK and Europe, where he has addressed a variety of topics related to the circularity of plastics, including: non-mechanical recycling; circularity of films & flexible packaging, packaging design and recycling collections and processing.
 
In addition to his primary responsibilities at WRAP, Adam serves on the OPRL Technical Advisory Board, the Strategic Advisory Board for UKRI CircularChem as well as the MERLIN project Advisory Board. These roles enable him to apply his extensive expertise in shaping the development of policies and technologies that are essential for advancing sustainable resource management.
