Joint Procurement and Food Waste Collection Implementation Accelerator Programme

Expression of interest (EOI) acceptance has now closed for 2024

The application window has now closed for Expressions of Interest from local authorities in England seeking WRAP’s free support relating to the implementation of weekly food waste collections.

WRAP’s Joint Procurement and Food Waste Implementation Accelerator Programme provides free of charge support on a limited basis to progress the procurement of food waste collection vehicles and containers. We are offering a range of technical and project support to help navigate the challenges you may face prior to procurement.

The Joint Procurement Implementation Accelerator Programme aims to increase collaboration, using clusters and supportive networks to solve the common challenges in the roll-out of food waste collections. The programme has been designed to increase joint working and collaboration which should enable local authorities to obtain economies of scale and competitive prices.

The level of interest in the Programme has been extremely positive with WRAP aiming to support over 40 local authorities with their implementation programmes.
