Working with councils in Northern Ireland

WRAP supports the eleven councils in Northern Ireland by providing technical support and free-to-use resources, to help make waste and recycling service the best they can be.

Our team are experienced in all aspects of waste and recycling service design and delivery and by working closely with DAERA are well placed to help councils deliver efficient services that are clearly communicated to citizens, as well as helping them prepare for any future policy changes.

Communications support

WRAP facilitates the National Communications Advisory Panel (NCAP) in Northern Ireland bringing together council officers to share information and best practice and input to the strategic development of communications campaigns and assets.

We also coordinate Northern Ireland actions for European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) in November each year, promoting the campaign and providing administrative support to partners to register their activities.
