Improving recycling through effective communications: Situational Analysis

This section looks at how to develop a situational analysis using the information gathered in Section 2.

This is one of the most important sections of the plan and needs to provide a concise summary that reviews and analyses the background information to:

  • Analyse your current position e.g., what is required from an operational perspective to achieve the policy and national targets.
  • Outline where you need to be, including challenges, drivers, targets, opportunities that might prevent or help this to happen.
  • Explain what you will do to get there e.g., high level communications that will be needed to introduce the new service or improve service performance.
